This solid wood standing desk is not only beautiful but functional at every turn. With a slanted desktop, the whole piece makes it comfortable and easy to work while standing. The desktop has Greene & Greene style breadboard ends to maintain a lifetime of flatness for such a huge solid piece of solid walnut. You'll see all kinds of traditional Arts & Crafts style joinery accents throughout the piece. The drawer presents hand-cut dovetails, and inside the desk you'll find adjustable letter/storage compartments and a shelf for simple organization. There is a lower shelf for additional storage below. Did we mention the super-cool (and handy) gas shock lift system? No? Well, it makes opening the desk smooth and effortless, and holds the desktop open while you sort through your things inside.
