About Our Studio Furniture
Our studio furniture is very heavily inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 1900's, yet it is not period furniture or reminiscent of the hard rectilinear lines and dull brown finishes of the time. What we take from the Arts & Crafts movement is the use of joinery and craftsmanship in the detail of the piece. You won't find any applied moldings or unnecessary adornments. The detail and interest is found in the way the piece is constructed.
The star of the show in our work is the material itself. All of our finishes are natural, with no stains or color additives. We spend a huge amount of time on grain selection and color matching of rough materials so that the finished piece can be realized to it's utmost.
The ultimate goal of our work is that it is functional, beautiful, and comfortable in your home. Our furniture is made to be used daily. Our finishes are strong and durable and will stand up to most anything. We'll give you complete and easy instructions for care and maintenance of your furniture.
While many of the designs of these pieces already exist, we can modify an existing design to fit your home and your body. Depending on your taste, we can execute all of these designs in a wide ranging color palette.
You'll see many types of furniture in our Studio Gallery from seating of all types to tall case pieces and everything in between. If there is something you don't see, rest assured we can make it to the standards you see in our gallery.
